Make Your Own Wedding Website

Having your very own wedding website is "the thing to do" these days. With a wedding website, you can give your guests access to as many or as few of the following as you wish...

  • your love story
  • proposal & ring stories, pictures, videos
  • verses, songs, quotes, etc. that are meaningful to you as a couple
  • engagement pictures
  • who's in your bridal party (and why!) :)
  • online RSVP option
  • registry info
  • event information: date, time, place
  • maps/directions
  • lodging/hotel info
  • your & your fiance's contact information
  • a link to leave you a message or ask a question
  • opportunity to request songs
  • honeymoon photos (after the wedding)

Once it's up and running and ready for the public eye, you can let your guests know about your wedding website by including the address for your wedding website on your save-the-dates and/or invitations, let it spread by word of mouth, or even by posting links on your Facebook, Twitter, or blog. Most hosts will give you the option of password-protecting your site so that only invited guests can view it; if you choose this option, be sure to include the password as well.

Here are two more helpful articles about creating a wedding website...

I used WeddingWire's website creator since I was already using it for everything else, but there are tons of options out there! Here are a few good ones (all free!)...

This is an especially fun part of wedding planning, I think...enjoy! Comment below with any questions.
